A TRIBAL leader has welcomed the decision by Jiwaka Governor, William Tongamp to build the provincial headquarters in Jiwaka.

Henry Sek, leader of the Kisu tribe, in Kurumul village, said his people fully supported the decision by Tongamp and the provincial executive council members.

The debate was where the provincial headquarters should – Banz, Minj  or Jiwaka – he said.

Henry said Jiwaka was central and the headquarters would be accessible by everyone.

“The decision by the PEC is in the best interests of the people,” he said.

“This is a new province, new government and new decision so let’s all work together to bring about development to help ourselves.

“Let’s leave our differences aside and take this young province to prosperity.”
