Private sector needs help

Letters

THE Government is very unfair to the private sector.
This is a call to Prime Minister James Marape that we, private sectors employees, are feeling the pain of the Covid-19.
Many of us still have loan and rental arrears as a result of the SOE declared in the first Covid-19 lockdown.
And these arrears are increasing now that we are in the second lockdown.
Can the prime minister come clear about the first stimulus package budgeted for the Covid-19?
Was it given to private sector?
If so, how much? Did private institutions benefit? If so, how much did each private institution get?
The fact of the matter is that private sector employees pay the same taxes to the Government as those in the public sector, but yet we continue to suffer.
Many of us in the private sectors have reduced hours which greatly affects our rentals and loan repayments.
To continue to survive in these extremely difficult times is a burden in itself. We want to know what the Government is doing to sustain the private sector.
If there is no plan, let school start, allow the buses to operate and let people get back to work and the Government, through their law enforcing agencies, should ensure people wear face masks, maintain social distancing and wash hands.

Affected Victim,
POM
