THE Port Moresby Rugby Football League (POMRFL) annual general meeting (AGM) has been deferred for the second time to Feb 15 (Friday), says chairman Dr James Naipao.
“This is the final notice,” he said.
“If the AGM does not proceed on Feb 15 because of disqualification, the league will need to run its competition and also attend the PNGRFL AGM on the March 7.
“Therefore as the chairman, I will write to PNGRFL through the Southern Confederation to appoint an administrator for PRL. This is because 12 clubs did not meet the full requirements of POMRFL.
“The AGM was first postponed from Jan 25 to Feb 8. It has now been deferred again to Feb 15 at 6:30pm at the White House, National Football Stadium.
“The reason is only two clubs have paid their 2020 affiliation fees as of Feb 7.”
Naipao said no club/delegate had submitted required reports.
“As this is the election year, I will give every club the opportunity to attend the AGM without bias, intimidation or aggression to elect the office bearers of PRL,” he said.
Naipao said the White House would be available for clubs to host their AGMs there from Feb 10-13.
“Nomination forms will be given out to clubs that qualify for the POMRFL AGM,” he said.
“These positions in the board are honorary positions with no monetary gain.”
