Probe whereabouts of equipment

Letters

A COUPLE of years ago a generator and solar panels were bought for the Daigul health centre by the former Madang Governor Jim Kas.
The mentioned items are yet to be delivered.
I believe the equipment is still travelling somewhere between Madang and Bogia.
Health workers are delivering babies using mobile phone lights and torches, there is no water during dry season as there is no generator to pump water and there is no solar to generate light during emergency.
Rumour has it that the generator was picked up by a high ranking officer in the Health division in the district and sold it to a business man, the subsequent proceed being distributed among his cohorts.
The solar panels were picked up by a health worker who claimed the items.
I call on the Bogia MP Robert Naguri and Madang Governor Peter Yama to investigate and prosecute those officers involved.
Believe me, my two good leaders, your action on this matter will prevent other self-centred useless creature to steal what rightfully belongs to the state and the people.
I believe when you start the investigation, you will find more apart from what I’ve just mentioned
Please check with the locals living next to the health centre and the Board of Daigul health centre. They will give more information on the where about of this equipment.

Jackson Macbera,
Bogia District, Madang
