What’s causing the blackouts?

Letters

FOR consecutive weeks, there has been unexplained and annoying power blackouts in Manu and Korobosea, in the National Capital District.
These power blackouts seem to be staged as they occur around the same time every night at about 7pm and last for about an hour.
As can be imagined, their timings is annoying, causing inconveniences to families preparing or having dinner. This has been repeated three times this week – Sunday (Oct 20), Monday (Oct 21) and Tuesday (Oct 22).
These power blackouts have been ongoing since after the last PNG Power Ltd (PPL) chief executive officer (Carolyn Blacklock) resigned.
Are these blackouts the results of the ensuing fallouts and tussle for management control at PPL?
We the consumers demand answers. We care less about your management politics except to have uninterrupted power supply that does not cause damages to our electronic/electrical equipment, white goods, etc.
