CHESHIRE Disability Services signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Puma Energy for a two-year sponsorship last week.
Puma Energy, with this agreement, will continue their support through the supply of fuel and lubricants that will enable them to continue facilitating transport and movements of over 1,200 people with disabilities, staff and children to receive services within the National Capital District (NCD) and parts of Central.
Puma Energy country general manager Jim Collings acknowledged the Cheshire disability Services management for the amazing work they were doing in reaching out to communities to help children with special needs reach their potential.
Cheshire disability Services general manager Benard Ayeiko said the nature of Cheshire’s work depended entirely on transport and the organisation would have spent a lot on that if there was no support from companies such as Puma Energy.
Ayeiko told The National that Cheshire carried most of its programmes outside of the city and within NCD and they were involved with schools, communities, settlements and coastal regions and staff travelled into the communities every day which could not have been possible without Puma.
He said the MoU, which was a two-year sponsorship, totalled to around K72,000.
Ayekio said the partnership they had with Puma had been for over six years.
Meanwhile Cheshire Homes had also received donations of kitchen wares, clothes and beddings from KPMG.
KPMG spokesperson said they hope with the small token of appreciation given, they can continue to work together with Cheshire and continue the partnership that would help community.
