PUMA Energy and Dunlop PNG hosted a training session to provide product knowledge to tradesmen in Port Moresby yesterday.
Dunlop PNG Lubricant sales manager Kuda Tigere said that many people did not know about Puma Lubricant products.
“The purpose of the training is for the participants to learn about the product and to use the right product for the right purpose,” he said.
Puma Lubricants has a high-quality range of products which offers both reliability and performance while catering for all customer needs.
According to Puma Energy general manager Hulala Tokome, Puma lubes suit all vehicles from big marine diesel engines to the smallest cars.
“Puma have the most comprehensive range of lubricants in the country with over 180 items designed for Papua New Guinea conditions,” Hulala said.
“Some specialty lubes that we have chosen to stock help our customers with continuity of supply.”
Lubricants reduce friction on engine parts.
John Pange, the site manager for Puma Energy Badili fuel service station, said the course helped because “most of the Puma products are new”.
“We usually have customers who are confused about the products, especially with the colours which are different from the other lubricant products that they use,” he said.
“From this training I can now inform the customers when they come up with similar issues.”
Beverlyn Ambe, the supervisor for Puma Energy Hohola fuel service station, also shared similar sentiments, saying: “The labels on the products often do not show the names of the specific products but often have codes.
“The training has clarified what the codes on the labels meant and to which product the codes are associated with.”
Puma Lubricants were launched in Port Moresby on Tuesday. Dunlop PNG is the sole distributor.
