HOHOLA Off-Season League team Lau Rangers aims to make a difference in the Ipatas Cup Enga Challenge in Wabag on February 23-25.

Rangers’ travel to Wabag is made possible by president and major sponsor Jack Jamican Kari who has committed his family money to support this team.

Kari, who is also from Wabag, believes youths playing rugby league can develop either into future stars or become better citizens as they learn such attributes as discipline that sports provides to young men and women. He said players could be drafted in Digicel Cup franchises in Highlands region and Lae if they see some promising talent.

Hohola Off Season League president Gairo Gavu said the kind gesture by Kari indicates that he has time for human resource development through sports.

Gavu said this is an opportunity for the Hohola youths to show their potential at a higher level.
