Remain positive despite Covid-19

Letters

I HAVE provided reassuring words to the masses from the very beginning regarding the Covid-19 outbreak.
It’s as if everyone is clinging onto a structure on a ship sailing through rough seas for support until we reach calm waters.
It is now over a year since the beginning of the outbreak and despite the late upsurge in the number of positive Covid-19 cases in Papua New Guinea, the World Health Organisation reported on the third week of January that the global trend for new positive cases had reduced by 7 per cent.
This has now improved to 11.7 per cent over six weeks, which is an assurance to the masses.
In life, every situation should reach their worst point first before things can to improve.
We are heading for calmer waters.
