THE rise in the number of missing children in the National Capital District has become apparent within this week alone with anxious parents exhausting every available resources and funds in their bid to find them.
The father of a six-year-old girl who had been missing in Port Moresby since Wednesday has offered a reward for the child’s safe return.
Kevin Kelema posted the K500 reward yesterday after exhausting all avenues to find his daughter.
She was reported missing between 7am and noon on Wednesday after the father had dropped her off at Boreboa elementary school.
Mr Kelema said he learnt of his daughter’s disappearance from his wife when she did not arrive home at her usual time.
She is of Southern and Western Highlands mixed parentage and has brown eyes, short relaxed hair and of light complexion.
She was last seen wearing her Boreboa elementary school uniform.
