Roll out censusbefore 2022

Letters

THE Marape-Basil government should begin the national census 2021 as time is catching up.
The current national census and population updates need to be carried out quickly and checks be done throughout our local level governments before any final printing is done by the Electoral Commission and rechecked in time before the 2022 national election writs are issued next year.
Over the last 25 years, the nation witnessed many electoral errors with double, ghost names and people complaining about names not listed on the common rolls.
The next election could be even worse.
Provincial and district returning officers should be chosen from outside of the province and districts to avoid corrupt practices and wantok systems and briberies during the polling and counting and other election-related problems. Time is short for the Government to prepare before issue of writs in April next year.
The parliament resumes this April with nothing to show for except power struggles.
This nation really needs a God-fearing prime minister and a government that can rule without fear or favour.
We need a government that stand tall to guide us forward.
All corrupt political parties and leaders should be voted out in 2022 to save this nation.
