A SCHOOL in New Ireland received K3 million from the Government during the 90th anniversary celebration of first Adventist missionaries in Murat on Friday.
Prime Minister James Marape attended the event at the Bolium High School. The K3million will be used to build a new administration building to replace the one burnt down in 2017.
Kavieng MP Ian Ling-Stuckey urged the school chairman and headmaster to spend the money wisely.
“The total funding received from the Government was K3.5 million which would now allow the high school to be converted to a secondary school,” he said.
A water supply system will be installed by the Adventist Development Relief Agency Papua New Guinea at a cost of K1 million.
