A SECURITY company has backed a club with apparel and has paid its K1,000 registration for the Morata Offseason Rugby League competition in Port Moresby.
Jfox Security Services managing director Jones Fove Itipari made the presentation worth K4,400 on Friday to the Papua New Guinea Education Institute (PNGEI) Cyclones.
“The team reside in the institute’s premises,” he told The National on Friday.
“So when they reached out to the education secretary for sponsorship, Jfox security decided to step in and assist.
“The secretary advised me (of the letter sent by the team), so as a business partner and service provider to the education department, we are keen to help the team.
“My company is contracted to provide security to the Education Department headquarters and the measurement services division to guard the exam papers.
“We have supported many youths in the past through sponsorship so this is not new to us.”
Cyclones captain Ronnie Huriba said the club was formed in 2015, but had not been consistent over the last two years.
