I COMMEND the bravery showcased by the Catholic Professional Society of PNG to come clear on the religious standing of the country against foreign influences and interferences.
It will be better if all the Christian churches do the same.
LGBTQs (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer) demeanor shouldn’t be accepted or even supported in this country as it will be a disgrace and a shame to our belief and moral standing.
In fact we cannot deny the existence of the LGBTQ community in PNG but frighteningly it is growing at an alarming rate.
The failure of the government and the populace to come clear on this issue have ignited so called human rights activists to take advantage and fight for their rights.
In our cultural system nor the Christian values we uphold, such ‘ignominious inclinations’ are condemned and seen as sinful.
Though they may have their rights, it is not the right time and place to raise the flag as yet.
Let’s not derogate the country’s moral status quo.
