THE Catholic Professionals Society of Port Moresby (CPS) concluded the year with a thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration on Saturday at the St Joseph’s parish church in Port Moresby.
The members were invited to reflect on their calling as Catholic professionals despite their challenges during the pandemic.
“You have immense talents and gifts, use them to promote joy and happiness in your families and in the community,” main celebrant and director of CPS Fr Ambrose Pereira SDB (Salesian of Don Bosco) said.
“As Catholics, we need to be faithful to the celebration of the sacraments, the eucharist, reconciliation and marriage.”
CPS president Paul Harricknen and vice-president Dr Patricia Paraide thanked Fr Ambrose for his spiritual leadership that had enabled the society’s members serve others.
Dr Paraide acknowledged the presence of all and said that their solidarity and togetherness at the Eucharist was to thank God for the divine wisdom, courage, peace, and strength to live our Catholic faith and reach out in loving service to people.
The mass was concelebrated with Fr Urban Kalimet, Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Fr Giorgio Licini, Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions.
Present were the CPS members, Vuvu Alumini’s Port Moresby Chapter and Peter ToRot Foundation members.
