Sports Tok 7s re-scheduled

WITH much uncertainty due to Covid-19 in recent months, the 2021 Sports Tok Sevens rugby union tournament has been rescheduled again for the final time to Oct 2-3.
“We have made this the final time for the tournament to be rescheduled this year, and we hope that all will be good as everyone starts to practise the ‘new normal’ by adhering to the Covid-19 measures and guidelines,” tournament organizer Elsie Passingan said in a statement.
“We already have 24 registered teams plus three sides on standby, who have also registered,
“Unfortunately, only one team from Daru pulled out, which we allowed for one of the standby teams to take their place.
“So now we have 24 registered team plus 2 on standby incase a team does not make it.
“We have been keeping all registered team updated on the status of the tournament so far and this announcement should give them the confident that the tournament is set to go ahead and they should look forward to participating in it.
“However, we can’t tell the future but we remain optimistic that we will deliver this year’s tournament like we did in the last three years.”
