EASTERN Stars FC are looking forward to a win when they take on Niupetro Madang Fox in the Telikom National Soccer League (NSL)  washout match at the Laiwaden Oval in Madang at 3pm today.
Stars FC are one of two Port Moresby-based franchise clubs with several  games in hand.
They need a win to stay in touch with the other competition frontrunners.
Hekari United also have a match outstanding after the deferral of their NSL match due to the O-League challenge commitment.
Eastern Stars team manager Ambrose Napoleon said his team was geared up for the challenge.
He added they knew it would be difficult, especially playing Niupetro Fox at their home ground.
Currently, in seventh spot with 11 points on the NSL competition table, the Stars need a win to move up the ladder. Madang Fox are on eighth placing with with six points.
Despite much publicity regarding the movement of Stars striker Nathaniel
Lepani teaming up with Gigira Laitepo Morobe FC, coach Moiyap Francis has a strong belief in his side to win the match.
Madang Fox will take an advantage of the home crowd and will make full use of the opportunity.
