Tasion contract under Aussies

OUSTED chief migration officer Solomon Kantha has raised concern regarding comments by acting chief migration officer Robert Kennedy over the Tasion Group contract for Manus and other allegations.
Kantha said the revocation of his appointment was based solely on the issue of his contract and nothing else.
“I am disappointed that Mr Kennedy is using the opportunity of me being out of office to go on a media spree accusing me of matters he has no knowledge of, such as the Australian government funding arrangements under the regional resettlement arrangement (RRA),” he said.
“Mr Kennedy was a junior staff and has not been involved in RRA matters.
“Funding for Tasion Group and other contractors is directly paid for by the Australian government.
“Following the advice of the State Solicitor to Immigration and Citizenship Authority, there is no need for a tender process or to apply requirements of the Public Finance Management Act, as these are Australian government funds and are not even given to or held by ICA. It is also disappointing to see him making references.”

  • Kantha and Kennedy…pulim taitim yet, one ousted and another making accusation I think we should make a ring so they can get at each others throat. Shame on them for hanging their dirty laundry out for the public to see. One is no better then the other.
