Parkop Kurua from Kumul Consolidated Holdings is in charge of Water PNG and overseeing the merger with Eda Ranu.
He said the merger of both entities had been approved by Cabinet. It is awaiting amendments to the Water Sanitation Act and NCD Water Act.
It is understood that the merger of the two entities would save K10 million which the government would use to fund other projects in the districts. The merger of the two institutions would also cut down on the duplication of jobs.
