Teach children culture before it’s too late

Letters

OUR cultures and traditions are starting to fade away due to Western influence.
Some cultures and traditions were completely lost because of Christianity, technology and other popular Western culture.
It is now up to individuals whether to maintain and revive them or just accept the loss.
In order to maintain and revive them, children should be encouraged to learn and practise them apart from the knowledge they acquire in school.
Teach children positive aspects of our cultures that encourages, love, respect, and making a living.
Knowledge about craft-making and family etymologies should be taught.
Negative aspects such as sorcery should not be encouraged.
Our identity is very important, if we lose that, we are nothing.
