Telikom names contest winners

TWO people in Port Moresby have every reason to smile yesterday when they each received a laptop computer, software, flash drive and K300 free airtime.
They were among eight winners of Telikom PNG Limited’s promotion which ran from Jan 4 to Feb 28.
The competition was aimed at students from primary school to university to enter the competition after buying a handphone.
Advertising and promotions manager Hubert Warupi said the competition received more
than 1,000 entries nationwide.
He also announced that for the first time the majority of the winners were from outside cetres.
The winners include :
* Penny Yala from Primary school – Goroka;
* Emma Alu from Caritas Secondary School – Port Moresby;
* Allan Arifeae (Jnr) from Pom Grammar – Port Moresby;
* Esther Kisip from Kokopo Secondary;
* Angela Papalum from Salvation Army Primary – Lae;
* Aitob from Ramsi Technical School – Lae;
* Karl Vali from St Martins Primary – Lae; and
* Godwin Koi –  Madang
Winners based outside of Port Moresby will pick up their prizes from the Telikom Business office in the respective centres.
There were also 42 complimentary winners who will have K50 airtime loaded onto their handphones.
