Time to use biodegradable plastic bags

WE need to consider seriously the mass production of the non-biodegradable plastic bags that are littering our environment.
The waste hierarchy states: Avoid, reduce, reuse and dispose in a place that is safe to human presence.
Just take a look around our urban centres and you will see a lot of plastic bags lying around.
They are non-biodegradable and cannot decompose like other organic materials.
It is time now for us to use biodegradable plastic bags.
