TWO men have been arrested and charged with wilful murder in connection with the killing of a East New Britain man after he allegedly revealed Tolai Tubuan secrets to some people, police said.
Provincial Police Commander Sylvester Kalaut said yesterday other members of the group who bashed to death John Tilili Eliuda, 41, from Vunakaur ward, in the Toma-Vunadidir local level government Gazelle district, were being sought.“They believed Eliuda had revealed tubuan secrets to some people,” Kalaut said.
Eliuda was attacked by the group of men at Tamanairik village, not far from his own village.
In another incident, a young woman was allegedly stabbed by her husband after an argument over a can of fish last week at Vairaman, West Pomio, Kalaut said.
The woman was stabbed below her right breast and was taken to Vunapope St Mary’s hospital.
Her 24-year-old husband was arrested and charged by police for attempted murder after he was lucky to have  escaped retaliation from his wife’s family.
