Training centre offering special courses for school leavers

SPECIAL courses will be on offer this year for school leavers at the Kokopo Commercial Training Centre as the school year begins this month.
The Kokopo branch is offering courses ranging from academic diploma programmes on business studies, structured certificate four programmes on business studies and short courses for corporate bodies and for business house courses on community-based customer service and book-keeping.
Director Greg Sonu said the centre had been operating in the province for almost 20 years and had helped many grade 10 and 12 school leavers get qualifications that allowed them to gain employment.
The fees for the academic year are K7,500 for the diploma programme with an instalment of K3,500.; the structured certificate programme fee is K3,500 with an instalment fee of K1,500, while the fee for the short courses (three months) is K750.
