DIGICEL Cup side Waghi Tumbe resumed training with 42-man train-on squad in Minj, Jiwaka, last week, according to an official.
Franchise chairman Paul Tumun told The National last week that his players would do proper medical checks before they would be allowed to train.
“We’ll do checks for drugs or anything that will show if a player is not fit and healthy,” he said.
“Those who fail will be dropped. “We will be strict with fitness as well.
“Any player who fails our fitness tests will be given time to improve leading up to the trials. If they don’t, we will have to release them.
“Our training will be under strict Covid-19 protocols.
“We try to have 10 players train in each session to avoid overcrowding.”
