SUSUVE Laumaea hit the nail on the head with his article in Sunday Chronicle on Jan 2.

The affected licence areas landowners have become so obsessed with money that they cannot look beyond the so-called “seed capital”.

What are they going to do after getting this money?

They cannot use the threat against the LNG Project and yet enter into countless joint venture arrangements at the same time.

If there is no project then where will future benefits come from and how will their various joint ventures work?

The onus is on the leaders to take greater responsibility. For a change think about the future education and health needs of the children of the licence affected areas.

Oil money has done little for the majority of people in Kutubu and one wonders if the story will be different with the LNG.

Sadly, the same experiences that one warns against are evident in Gulf.

The love of money is truly evil.
