UNITECH Snipers, on 28 points, are leading the Lae Metro Darts Association competition which is set to be completed the following week.
Trailing them are Beer White (24) with Kamis and Robin Hood occupying third and fourth spots respectively.
The first elimination finals were completed last weekend which saw the bottom-eight teams battling it out in a 12-team knockout format.
Association president Raymond Chalangan said the second elimination finals would take place this weekend.
“We are now into our finals and four teams are on standby,” he said.
“Winning teams will proceed into this weekend and we will be going into our second elimination finals.
“This is where four teams will be eliminated and we’ll go into our top-four.
“We will have our finals the following week.
“We have Igam Barracks, Police Lae Metropolitan Command, PNG Power and other teams in Lae.
“So far, this season has been a success despite the challenges.
“We’ve managed to come this far and are aiming for a good finish.”
Chalangan said they had been running their competition without sponsorship for the last two years.
But he said they managed to register the association with Investment Promotion Authority through team registration fees.
