PEOPLE from Kirene village in Southern Highlands plan to build an aid post after Kewabi local level government president Francis Willipa gave K10,000 as seed capital.

Willipa said he would support the education sector and health sector as many facilities were rundown.

Willipa has distributed the 2013-14 local level government support improvement programme funds to the various sectors.

He presented K10,000 for the establishment of a village courthouse at Kirene after seeing magistrates conducting cases in the open.

He is working with churches who he believes have played a vital role in national development.

He distributed K50,000 to all churches in the LLG and told them to continue with their good work.

He gave K40,000 to village court officials as payment for their hard work over the years.

“I am happy with the Government for giving priority to education and health,” Willipa said.

“I am pleased with Governor William Powi and his provincial assembly members who have invested so much money in rebuilding the education and health sectors.”
