Volcano emits smoke

SEISMIC activity on Manam Island in Madang was recorded at 1am yesterday.
Minister for Inter-Government Relations Kevin Isifu said he received a seismic activity alert from the Rabaul Volcanic Observatory.
The volcano, which erupted last month, emitted smoke yesterday.
Steve Saunders, the principal geodetic surveyor at the Rabaul observatory also confirmed the seismic activity.
