Vote good leaders

Letters

PAPUA New Guineans have the right to elect a candidate of their choice.
The question is: “What have these candidates done for their country, provinces, districts and local level governments?”
The people can judge a sitting MP or former MPs who wish to recontest the 2022 national elections on their political achievements and projects and services delivered during their terms in office.
Political parties and their candidates should provide their policies to benefit the voters.
The country has seen no real change over the last 45 years in our rural areas in terms of roads, bridges, wharves and jetties and education and health services.
There’s lack of vision in the public service network systems from the national level down to the provinces and districts.
There’s poor political and administrative management leading to corrupt practices by politicians and bureaucrats.
Papua New Guineans should vote for good leaders into parliament as legislatures and not power-hungry and briefcase carries.
This country should be developed and kept safe for our future generations.
Our decisions today will determine the path for our democratic system of governance.
All stakeholders should rise up and put a stop to corrupt practices.
Elect God-fearing political leaders who will serve this country and its people first instead of themselves and their cronies.
