Wau Soccer Association gearing up to host grand finals

Wau Soccer Association in the mining township of Bulolo is gearing up for its grand finals after completing its semifinals last weekend, says president Shem Farrock.
Farrock said the B division saw Elai edging Wara Bulolo 1-0 and Naja beating Damtuk 5-4 in a penalty shootout.
In the women’s A-League, Damtuk defeated minor premiers Neighbours 5-4 in a penalty shootout and Erenge edged Solumarex 1-0.
Naja face Elai in the B division grand final, while Damtuk play Erenge in the women’s A-League grand final.
In the U19 boys’ semifinals, Hard Rocks crushed Junior Tobula 5-0 and Naja secured a 1-0 win over Ela Mandiko.
The grand final will see Hard Rocks taking on Naja while Tobula and Ela Mandiko battle it out for third place.
In the men’s A-League, Dugar advanced to the grand final after defeating Mount Mines 2-0 while Hard Rocks beat Yanga 2-1.
Mount Mines face Yanga for third place.
Farrock said a good crowd turned up to cheer on their teams.
He said the grand finals would be played on Nov 10.
Meanwhile, Farrock has congratulated John Kapi Natto on his election as the new Papua New Guinea Football Association president.
Farrock said his association was looking forward to work closely with Kapi Natto to develop football in the country.
