We have to be more respectful

Letters

THE letter by Justin Max some time ago “The culture of respect disappears” was my letter of the day.
I admit that what he said is true.
Respect is no longer practised.
Every city and town has seen an increase in youths snatching bags, phones and money from women, girls, the elderly and those who cannot defend themselves.
Excreting and urinating in public places is slowly becoming a norm.
People think it’s normal but it isn’t.
Something is eating away people’s ability to differentiate right from wrong.
Max’s words in the recent published article is what’s happening now.
I recently witnessed such indecent behaviours in a particular province in the country.
I stood glaring interestedly at a street preacher.
I was listening to God’s word.
Other people were there too.
Then came a group of boys and men who decided to urinate openly.
To my surprise, a couple of woman decided to excrete at a spot not so far from where the preacher was preaching.
I could hardly believe my eyes.
These people must truly have a mental disorder.
This is inhumane and disrespectful.
Let’s correct our mindsets. It is our mind that will help build and shape who we are.
Where is the respect?
