West Tigers sack Gordon

 YILEEN Gordon’s brief flirtation with an NRL return has come to a shuddering halt with the Wests Tigers terminating his contract effective immediately.

Gordon had been named to play in the Tigers’ trial against the Eels at Alice Springs on Saturday night but has been sensationally sacked for an apparent disciplinary breach.

In a statement on the club’s website, it was revealed that club CEO Grant Mayer had met with Gordon on Tuesday evening at which Gordon’s contract was terminated immediately for breach of his playing terms and conditions.

“Wests Tigers takes its position as a leader in the community very seriously and has high expectations of all its players,” said Mayer.
