Work together, health workers told

THE Covid-19 pandemic has stressed Papua New Guinea’s healthcare system and it is crucial for healthcare providers to work together to deliver services to people, Pacific International Hospital (PIH) chief executive officer Sandeep Shaligram says.
“The crisis has worsened due to health workers being infected with the Covid-19,” he said.
“The impact is severe where resources are limited such as in speciality services, critical equipment and operating staff.
“It is now necessary to improve the public health system and strengthen it.
“To make services more available during this pandemic period, PIH is offering the some services to the public who are referred through the public health system.”
