World market prices

Letters

I HAVE seen in the past, and it is still going on, that many of our resources in this country are sold using overseas or world market prices.
For an example, I often sell my taro and kaukau (sweet potato) at Bulolo market at the price, I like.
Why can’t we sell our resources at our own prices at the world market, as we normally do at our small markets here?
We sell our resources at our own prices and let other countries buy direct from us.
